Michelle Hogue, FNP-BC

Background

Michelle has lived in Colorado for over 35 years. She has an extensive background in neuromuscular massage therapy for the treatment of acute and chronic pain. This experience led her to pursue a nursing career in the same realm. She is thrilled to be a part of the Denver Spine and Pain Institute team and partner with patients to enhance their health and function.

Education & Training

Michelle completed her education as a family nurse practitioner at Duke University with a special focus in orthopedics. She studied Human Nutrition and Dietetics and went on to attain her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She completed her massage training at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and has advanced certifications in Neuromuscular Massage and Zen Shiatsu.

Career Rewards

Michelle is a recipient of the Daisy award for extraordinary nurses for her work in oncology nursing. She achieved summa cum laude academic honors in her undergraduate studies and attained a 4.0 GPA in her graduate studies. One of her career highlights was teaching massage therapy at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and mentoring massage students at the University of Denver Sports Medicine clinic and Athletic Department.

Hobbies & Interest

In her free time Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and their dogs. She also enjoys hiking, music, baking and knitting. She believes laughter is strong medicine and loves a good joke.
